11 Vacuum cleaners tested
If you want to keep more demanding foods such as meat, fish, vegetables etc. in the house for a while, you can vacuum seal them to enjoy their full flavour even after a few weeks: After all, a vacuum can postpone the spoilage of food because microbes can only multiply with difficulty in a vacuum - but we are also talking about vitamins, for example, which can be preserved much more reliably in a vacuum than outside one. This is perfectly understandable: how could they oxidise in a vacuum, for example? Beyond preventing rapid spoilage, however, vacuum cleaners open up much more scope for consumers: for example, they can be used wonderfully if you want to marinate meat, fish, etc. effectively before grilling. During vacuuming, marinades can close around the food like a cloak and then spread fully not only from the outside but also from the inside. Some vacuum cleaners come with a special mode that makes marinating more effective by changing the behaviour of the vacuum pump. In addition, many vacuum cleaners allow you to adapt the vacuuming behaviour to the requirements of different foods, so that you can also vacuum soft foods such as wild berries without causing damage. This time we were able to look at 11 different vacuum cleaners from AEG, CASO Design, ROMMELSBACHER, etc. and we will now present how we used the models, how effectively they can vacuum & seal, what the sound output and power consumption look like during vacuuming & sealing, and much more.
