This is the story of Clive Rosfield, a warrior bestowed with the title "First Shield of Rosaria," who has sworn to protect his younger brother Joshua, the Dominant of the Phoenix. However, as the ether begins to dwindle and the lifeless Deadlands continue to spread, the struggle for the last flickers of the Mothers' light grows ever more fierce. Few in Valisthea remain untouched by this war for the blessing of the crystals, and Clive Rosfield, the firstborn son of the Archduke of Rosaria, is no exception.
