Product details

Discover the beauty. Tell your story. The classic 35mm focal length supports your artistic expression with its versatility. Step back and capture the entire scene without losing intimacy. Or get closer to the action and explore the fleeting emotions of a moment. The particularly large diameter of the Nikon Z mount allows Nikkor Z lenses to gather more light from every corner of the image field. This, combined with the short flange distance (the space between the mount connection and the image sensor), results in minimal light fall-off from the center to the edges of the image. The result is incredible detail fidelity - even in the corners of the image. With its outstanding resolution, this lens reproduces every detail of your subject with remarkable accuracy. Benefit from greater detail sharpness and higher color fidelity - all the way to the edges of the image field, even at wide open aperture.

Point light sources in the scene, such as nighttime street lamps, are rendered with superior precision, as sagittal coma has been almost completely corrected. Point light sources appear as naturally round dots, even at the edges of the image. Two ED glass elements and three aspherical lenses contribute to sharp, brilliant images with rich colors and clear contrast. Vignetting (the light fall-off from the center to the edges) is nearly eliminated - ensuring uniform brightness all the way to the corners of the image. Even in backlight situations, Nikon's nanocrystal coating provides brilliant, clear images, thanks to highly effective reduction of reflections, ghosting, and stray light. This also means significantly higher image quality when shooting with multiple light sources in the image field.
