Introducing: Regrind¹, a process that mechanically reprocesses old Xbox One generation components. This creates a raw material that can be partially used to make new controllers without compromising durability and performance. PCR (post-consumer recycled) resins are made from recycled materials such as car headlight covers, plastic bottles and CDs. Mixing PCR resins with granules from previously dyed parts creates custom, earthy colours with subtle variations, swirls, drawings and textures that are used for the first time on Xbox, giving each Remix Special Edition controller a unique look and feel.
