Sustainability is now a filter option at digitec and Galaxus

Sustainable products are marked as such on Galaxus and Digitec. We also offer our customers a filter feature for even more conscious online shopping. Here you can find out which sustainability criteria and labels we take into account.
Sustainability criteria and independent labels help consumers make purchases in line with their personal values. So you know which labels we use at Galaxus and Digitec as well as what they mean, we’ll explain them here in brief. For detailed information, please refer to the labels' websites.
For the sake of clarity, we’ve divided the labels into 13 sustainability criteria, also displayed in our filters: animal welfare, organic production, organic ingredients, natural ingredients, energy efficient, fair trade, manufacturer commitment, circular economy, no animal testing, recycled materials, vegan, improved materials and improved manufacturing.
These products are manufactured with animal welfare in mind. The production methods take animal-friendly practices into account.
These items were produced in accordance with ecological standards – without the use of harmful chemicals or pesticides. The production processes follow strict guidelines aimed at sustainability and environmental protection.
These products consist of one or more components that are organically grown and produced without the use of harmful chemicals or pesticides. The cultivation and processing methods meet strict ecological standards that ensure sustainable production.
One or more components in these products are derived from natural sources and contain no synthetic chemicals. Ingredients used retain their natural properties.
These products require less energy than others in performance terms. They’re designed to work more efficiently and reduce energy consumption.
With these products, attention is paid to fair wages and fair working conditions for producers. Production is carried out in compliance with international labour standards guaranteeing safe and humane working conditions.
Manufacturer commitment reflects the voluntary involvement of brands in the long-term improvement of the value chain in environmental and social areas.
With these products, materials can be easily recycled or reused.
No animal testing was carried out for the development and manufacturing of the products awarded the following labels.
Recycled materials are a core element of a circular economy based on the reuse of materials.
Products bearing the following labels don’t contain any animal ingredients.
Our improved materials category combines awards presented for products made from advanced and environmentally friendly materials.
Products with the following labels either pay attention to environmental or health factors in production and in factories, or conserve resources.
