Record revenue at Nvidia thanks to AI: the equivalent of 20 million Jensen Huang leather jackets in profit
Nvidia achieved 843 per cent more profit in Q2 2023 compared to the same quarter of the previous year. The high margins of the AI accelerators contributed to this record.
Coal, coal, coal - Nvidia is currently raking in the cash thanks to the AI boom. The company generated a turnover of 13.51 billion US dollars in the last three months. That is 101 per cent more than in the same quarter of the previous year. The data centre business, which also includes AI accelerators, accounts for the largest share. USD 10.3 billion alone comes from this business area. That is six billion more than in the previous quarter. Nvidia is cashing in on the enormous demand for AI accelerators. According to reports, the margin of an H100 Tensor Core GPU is said to be up to 1,000 per cent.

The CEO, who is known for wearing biker jackets, says: "A new era of data processing has begun. Companies around the world are moving from general-purpose computing to accelerated computing and generative AI."
