The lower-dose k-gel with 0.615% fluoride is a gel specifically developed for children. The preservation of primary teeth, which play a crucial role as placeholders, is important for the development of permanent teeth. At the age of six, the first permanent teeth (6-year molars) emerge, and their healthy development should be supported from the very beginning. The reduced fluoride content also lowers the risk of dental fluorosis in the permanent teeth compared to conventional fluoride gels. The strawberry flavor in mirafluor-k-gel has been specially designed to motivate children in their dental care routine. A particularly gentle pH value of 5.5 avoids additional stress on the tooth enamel.
