The ultrasound and Emmi-dent toothpaste create millions of new microbubbles in the mouth every millisecond, which burst and clean. Microbubbles are up to 1,000 times smaller than the bubbles found in other types of toothpaste. Due to this property, they penetrate into every gap and tiny hairline crack in the tooth enamel to clean. The force of implosion tears apart the membranes of bacteria and germs, effectively killing them. This process continues as long as ultrasound is generated in the brush head.
