Makita Circular table saw
Makita Circular table saw
Strong, solid, silent and powerful. Designed for site work and for sawing wood, but not for fine joinery. An extra board on the side would be an asset (delivered with a single board to place on the side or behind the saw).

I am aware that I won't get a super machine for 350 euros, even if it says Makita on it. I was only looking for an inexpensive replacement machine that was available at short notice, as the replacement delivery of my actual machine takes 4 weeks.
But I was surprised by the really poor quality of the machine. Well, yes. It's probably sufficient for the simplest cuts. Otherwise, it has nothing to do with the quality of Makita.

This is a great saw for the price, 2000w 305mm circular saw for less than 500chf. However, it has a few fairly shocking standards directly out of the box that in my opinion should not be missing from any table saw of any value.
The all important fence!!!, the stock fence is a very surprising poor quality fence. First off it is attached to the parallel track slider which is rotationally customisable and therefore puts a lot of torque on a small screw and handle, that means there can be 4/5mm of movement on the end of the fence... not great for accurate cuts.
This can be fixed very easily with a clamp or similar to hold down the fence when setting up a cut, but that is going to get very frustrating when using regularly.
The table surface is basic but is flat and is smooth, For neater work though this will also become a problem as the blade plate is not flush and varies without any fine tuning options. The table is narrow so that the standard fence only allows a maximum of 300mm wide cuts, the out feed table can be moved from the back to either of the four sides though allowing wider cuts or longer cuts.
In summary, this is genuinely a great quality saw but the build of the rest of the table may cause issues for anyone using it without adding and customising it themselves. Personally I think it would be ideal for placing into a larger DIY table setup with a larger more accurate fence.

If you know how, an ingenious working tool

Sturdy, semi-professional tool. You can work with it precisely, even with thick and large workpieces. At approx. 35 kg, it can be handled flexibly by one person. Thanks to its low height, it can also be placed on a workbench and operated. Fits in any cupboard when set up, see picture (the wooden parts are the base frame). Small points of criticism that hardly detract from the overall performance: the extraction is somewhat inefficient, the splitting wedge can only be removed with tools, the protective handle is not really transparent and rather impractical (so unfortunately I work too much without it), the dimensions have to be converted for the setting on the measuring scale, a sliding carriage is missing.
