The Gardena soil moisture sensor reliably measures soil moisture exactly where it matters, at the roots of the plants. It can be used in lawns, flower beds, and even in shallower flower pots. The sensor is connected to the irrigation control via a 5 m long cable, which can be extended up to 105 m if needed. If there is sufficient soil moisture, the next scheduled irrigation is skipped to save water. The flat sensor only protrudes 20 mm from the ground, allowing it to remain on the lawn where a robotic mower is in use without being damaged. It is compatible with Gardena irrigation controls Flex, Select, Bluetooth, Master, and the 9V Bluetooth irrigation valve. It can also be used with MultiControl duo, the multi-channel controllers 4030 and 6030, as well as older Gardena controllers with a sensor connection.
