Den zweiten Platz erzielt der JB 5160 von Braun („sehr gut“, 92,5%). Er ist nicht nur außerordentlich leicht zu säubern, sondern bietet eine größtenteils sehr gute Mixleistung; nur Eis wird nicht allzu klein zerstoßen.
Alle Prüfungen zu Ausstattung, Handhabung und Sicherheit meisterte der Braun mit Bravour. Beim Mixen scheiterte er wie alle anderen auch am Babybrei, beim Eiscrushen blieben im Standardprogramm einige große Stücke übrig, der Einfülldeckel lockerte sich. Dennoch: ein empfehlenswerter Mixer mit Extraprogrammen für Eis, Suppen und Pürees sowie Smoothies.
