I bought this Monito (very satisfied so far), but now I want to connect it to my MacBook Pro via USB-C/USB-C and power it at the same time with the same cable. I know that it is fortunately practical because I tried it with a cable that happened to be lying around, but was too short for the place of work. Unfortunately, I have no specification at all for the cable that is too short and works. My question: What specification does a USB-C/USB-C cable have to have so that I can transfer power and screen data simultaneously with exactly this monitor?

Helpful answer

You need a super speed cable is USB 3.2 with power delivery and video signal, like this one here:

Orico Cavo dati ad alta velocità USB Type-C Gen2 (100W) (1 m, USB 3.2 Gen 2)

So I use the following cable from the South American River (full product name here):

"Maxonar Thunderbolt 4 Cable 2m/40Gbps, TB4 USB C 4.0 Cable Supports 1x8K 60hz or dual 4K60hz monitor,for i-Phone 15 Pro/Max Macbook air/Pro M1 M2,Mac Studio,Studio Display,SSD,eGpu,Dock "

Had tried one without the "Thunderbolt" designation before, that didn't work. i'm guessing "Thunderbolt" is the target clue 🙋🏻‍♂️
