LG UltraWide 38WN95CP-W

3840 x 1600 pixels, 38"

Question about UltraWide 38WN95CP-W - 635380

The specifications of this monitor would suit me very well. It can be used for both office and gaming. And as I can always work with two different systems (Mac OSX and Windows), I can use the Picture in Picture (PiP) feature to run two systems simultaneously on one monitor (I hope I've researched this correctly). The only thing I don't like is that this monitor requires an external power adapter. Is such a monitor (curved and 38') also available without an external power adapter, as would be the case with the Dell UltraSharp U3824DW? I don't like the design and colour of the Dell (I prefer white) and it only has a 60 Hz refresh rate, which makes it less attractive for gaming. The Dell also doesn't have a Thunderbolt port, which I consider a disadvantage. Many thanks for your support.

At this resolution (3840 x 1600), there is little choice, and with a high refresh rate, only the LG stands out from the competition.
We would therefore continue to recommend this model, as the external power supply is not a major disadvantage and is quickly forgotten after installation.
