Question about PodMic - 685789

As I would like to use the Beyerdynemic DT990 X with the external sound card (Sound BlasterX G6) in the future, I am looking for a suitable external mic. Should a preamplifier be connected to the Rode Podmic, or can it be operated with an adapter cable to a 3.5mm jack on the sound card's input socket? Or are there any mic recommendations for this sound card? The mic is mainly used for chatting and occasionally for live streaming. Many thanks for your tips in advance.

You need an audio interface for this microphone. I use my goXLR (TC Helicon) but other simpler interfaces are possible (Focusrite).

The PodMic has a typically low level for dynamic microphones. Too low, depending on the sound card. Connecting XLR to Jack is the least of the problems. Getting the level to the required level, however, is. Maybe someone here has the sound card and the mic.
