Xiaomi 12X EU
256 GB, Grey, 6.28", Dual SIM, 50 Mpx, 5GProduct details
The Xiaomi 12X is the perfect size to use with just one hand, but still has all the benefits of a flagship. With its 6.28" (15.95cm) display and only 69.9 mm width, it fits perfectly in the palm of your hand. The 6.28" Amoled screen with an FHD+ resolution of 2,400 x 1,080px, offers over 68 billion colours and features a TrueColor display with professional colour calibration. The Xiaomi also supports an AdaptiveSync refresh rate of 120Hz and a sampling rate of up to 480Hz for an incredibly smooth entertainment experience. Equipped with the advanced Qualcomm processor, the Snapdragon 870, the Xiaomi 12X performs well. Thus, it outshines its predecessors in terms of processor performance and the associated energy efficiency. Additionally, it has UFS 3.1 memory, which enables excellent charging performance and speed in data transfers, as well as LPDDR5 RAM with storage speeds of up to 6,400 Mbps. Despite its compact size, the Xiaomi 12X has a large cooling system, with extra-large 2,600 mm² VC and over 10,000 mm² heat-absorbing graphite to achieve consistent stable performance. The professional-grade cameras integrated into the Xiaomi 12X are impressive. They consist of a 50 MP main camera, a 13 MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 5 MP tele-macro camera. The impressive hardware is complemented by Xiaomi's advanced AI algorithm. This opens up a wide range of possibilities with professional effects and creative options to optimise the shots, e.g. Xiaomi ProFocus or AI movie effects. The Ultra Night Video function is particularly suitable for recording videos in low light conditions with different portrait modes and delivers studio-quality recordings. Despite its handy size, the Xiaomi 12X has a 4,500mAh battery installed that never lets the user down. To ensure the longevity of the battery, the smartphone is equipped with Xiaomi AdaptiveCharge, the smart charging algorithm that optimises charging based on usage behaviour. The Xiaomi 12X can be charged quickly using the classic 67W charging cable.

- Premium design
- Good camera performance
- Compact format
- Dusty chipset
- Mediocre battery life
- Even Xiaomi internally a poor price/performance ratio

Overall, the Xiaomi 12X is a good device. Compared to other flagship smartphones, it is smaller and despite its price of 599 euros, it looks and feels like a high-quality device. The Snapdragon 870 is still powerful enough for everyday applications. Add to that a 120 Hz AMOLED display, a 67 W fast charging function and a set of cameras that work well in most application areas...
- Bright OLED
- much bloatware
- Not a price tip
If you want a really small device, there is no alternative to the iPhone 13 Mini. Apple accommodates a good camera, a blazingly fast SoC and a bright 60-Hertz OLED in the tiny device, but only a battery with little endurance. The larger iPhone 14 runs longer, but otherwise hardly stands out from the Mini...
Making phone calls, sending messages, surfing the internet - for most people, everyday life is hardly conceivable without a smartphone. It is therefore all the more important to be able to rely on the devices. The Stiftung Warentest smartphone test answers the question of which model is the test winner and which ones lack stability or basic functions...
- Compact and lightweight phone with very good workmanship
- OLED with 6.3 inch, 120 Hz, pulse sensor and superior quality
- Top chip with high performance
- Stereo speakers in the frame
- 50 MP main camera with good photo quality
- Fast charging with 67 watts and 12:13 battery life

Admittedly, the 12X for 700 euros is the cheapest phone among the basic high-end devices, but it performs comparatively well. Without the reception weaknesses in the LTE range, it would have scored even higher. The 12X is outstanding in terms of handiness and even outperforms the S22+ here. Anyone looking for a compact high-end phone is in the right place. ...
