The switch ports 1-8 provide not only data transmission but also PoE power supply over the same network cable (Power over Ethernet). These PoE ports automatically detect and supply power to devices that comply with the PoE standards IEEE 802.3af/at. If the total required power exceeds the maximum available supply of 63 W from the switch, the intelligent PoE power supply will cut off the power to the port with the lowest priority to ensure the power supply to the other ports and protect the switch from overvoltage.
