Sony's circular aperture design typically uses up to 9 blades, but this is the first α lens with an 11-blade aperture that delivers a wonderfully smooth bokeh with natural-looking highlights. The modern nano coating of the lens has a precisely defined nanostructure that effectively suppresses reflections, reducing light reflections and ghosting, resulting in sharper, more contrasting images and better overall image quality.
