This powerful 50mm prime lens from Zeiss impresses with a large maximum aperture of F1.4, as well as consistent contrast and spectacular resolution in every image. The wide aperture facilitates shooting in low light conditions and gives your images a beautiful bokeh thanks to an 11-blade diaphragm. Additional advantages include fast, precise focusing and versatile control options for both photos and videos.

Two aspherical elements, consisting of an AA (Advanced Aspherical) element and ED glass elements, ensure high resolution and uniformly consistent contrast across the image. The F1.4 aperture and a circular diaphragm with 11 blades allow for stunning bokeh in photos and enable high shutter speeds even in low light conditions. A Super Sonic wave Motor (SSM) system with ring drive allows for quick and accurate positioning of the heavy focus group of the lens, maximizing the performance of high-resolution camera bodies.

The aperture control is entirely intuitive. With a switch for the zoom lock, the aperture stops on the aperture ring can be activated and deactivated as needed. For video recording, it is advisable to deactivate the aperture clicks, while tactile feedback during photo shooting often proves helpful.
