Product details
The new ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T 24-200 mm F2.8 to F4.5 zoom lens is the first time in the history of Sony's RX100 cameras that both the focal lengths of popular standard zooms - 24-70 mm and 70-200 mm - have
been combined in a single compact model. The compact design consists of two ED (Extra-low Dispersion) aspherical glass lens elements and eight aspherical lens elements including four AA (Advanced Aspherical) lenses. Optimally matched to each other, they provide superior edge-to-edge sharpness at all focal lengths, representing the outstanding image quality everyone has come to expect from the RX series. The new RX100 VI camera is equipped with a Fast Hybrid AF system that enables focusing in just 0.03 seconds. The innovative system combines the benefits of 315 phase autofocus points covering approximately 65 percent of the sensor with those of effective contrast autofocus. Both together are a perfect match for the lens' flexible 24-200mm focal length.
The handy RX100 VI offers numerous video functions that will satisfy even the most demanding video fans. Even with videos, the "Fast Hybrid Phase Autofocus" grips reliably and guarantees sharp images even with 4K videos. Users of the camera can also adjust the response sensitivity of the autofocus and object tracking as desired via the menu. The RX100 VI is equipped with an XGA OLED Tru-Finder viewfinder with ZEISS T coating with 2.35 million pixels for high contrast. The electronic viewfinder can be retracted or extended as desired. The RX100 VI is also the first camera in Sony's RX series where the shutter release can be used via the touch display. The zoom speed can be flexibly controlled with the convenient zoom lever. The monitor can be tilted 180 degrees up or 90 degrees down. The automatic display shut-off increases battery power by up to 30 percent. The camera is Wi-Fi, NFC and Bluetooth compatible.
