Sony Alpha 6500
24.20 Mpx, APS-C / DXProduct details
The α has an APS-C image sensor with approx. 24.2 MP effective megapixels, a thin wiring layer and a large photodiode carrier layer for a higher light collection capacity.
425 phase detection autofocus points and high-density AF with object tracking:
With 425 AF points for phase detection in the focal plane for large and wide AF point coverage, α focuses precise, efficient and reliable objects over the entire image range. The high-density AF with object tracking also activates seamless and precise auto-focus points for focusing and tracking moving subjects.
Fast hybrid autofocus for photos and videos:
The α has the world's fastest autofocus (0.05 seconds). This speed is achieved by the autofocus performance of the fast hybrid autofocus and the highly efficient and precise processing of image information by the Bionz X image processor. The result is fast AF precision and autofocus performance. Aiming field AF contrast detection AF phase detection.
5-axis image stabilization integrated in the housing:
α can compensate for five types of camera shake, increasing the ability to take photos and videos with less camera shake. The new high-precision gyro sensor provides an image stabilization effect equivalent to a 5-step6 faster shutter speed. The camera allows you to focus on distant subjects, take detailed close-ups, shoot night scenes and much more - all with minimal blur caused by camera shake. Yaw, pitch, roll.
Continuous shooting at 11 frames per second ("Hi+") and continuous shooting with Live View at 8 frames per second ("Hi"):
Capture an entire series of images at 11 frames per second ("Hi") for amazingly high quality images of fast-moving subjects. Or choose from three speeds up to 8 frames per second ("Hi") for Live View with a continuous shooting mode with a very short shutter release delay in the electronic viewfinder or on the LCD. It will seem as fast as taking pictures with an optical viewfinder.
Large buffer for up to 307 images (in 35 seconds) in continuous shooting mode.
Faster internal image processing and a larger buffer capacity now allow continuous shooting with up to 307 images (over 36 seconds).
Recording of 4K videos:
4K video recording in Super 35mm format with full pixel reading and without pixel binning allows approx. 2.4 times more information than required for 4K (QFHD: 3840 x 2160). Such a large amount of data actually corresponds to 6K, providing an exceptionally high resolution in 4K images.
AF with eye recognition (compatible with AF-C mode):
„AF features an "AF with Eye Detection" function that focuses precisely on the eyes of the subject, even when using a high-intensity lens with the aperture fully open, giving you a shallow depth of field. "AF with Eye Detection" also works in AF-C mode, so autofocus with phase detection and a denser 425-point focal plane keeps the focus on the eyes when the subject moves.
