Product details

The RØDE VideoMic Pro is an all-new, ultra-compact condenser directional hot-shoe microphone designed from the ground up for professional broadcast quality sound recording with high speech intelligibility.

With
a length of only 15 cm and a weight of just under 90 g, the VideoMic Pro is the perfect partner for the new generation of SLR digital cameras with HD video function, but of course also for normal DV camcorders of all kinds. The cleverly and unobtrusively integrated elastic mount provides an effective decoupling of the microphone from grip noise and similar noises. If required, a subsonic filter can be switched on at the rear to additionally suppress low-frequency interference signals. Connection to the camera is via a 3.5 mm stereo jack plug.

As a mono shotgun, the VideoMic Pro is particularly suitable for all kinds of reportage where the focus is not so much on capturing stereo atmos or music (the RØDE SVM would be better suited for this purpose), but where precise sound recording at a narrow angle to the front and in accordance with the image detail is always required. Typical examples of this would be interviews or videos in which the majority of the speech is recorded as original sound, which is then always output in the middle of the stereo panorama during playback via the home system.

Incidentally, a 3/8" tripod thread is integrated into the hot shoe adapter so that the VideoMic Pro can also be operated away from the camera if necessary - e.g. mounted on a pistol grip, tripod or boom.

  • NegativeHalterung etwas labil
