Samsung Odyssey OLED G6 - G60SD
2560 x 1440 pixels, 27"
I waited a very long time to buy an Oled monitor and in the meantime I still needed my 27" AOC that has had a flicker problem from time to time for months, then Samsung came along and promised pure wonder with their new G6... so I thought, ok, let's give it a try.
What impressed me positively is the design, very simple and the infinity core is the cherry on the cake, very cool made and the glarefree panel has it all, finally no more reflections.
So switch on, switch on the pc and off you go... after a few settings I said "boha geilo"... really nice colours, great picture... so let's get gaming... great, really great.
But then I noticed that the picture was moving... PIXEL SHIFTING... oh no! I searched like mad in the menu to deactivate this annoying function... no chance...
Well... but then pixel shifting leads to another problem: text blurring! This problem has been known for a long time with Oled panels and is still not completely solved... annoying!
The bezels are really thick and the edge could have been black instead of grey but well... you get used to it eventually.
Can I recommend it? Yes and no... Yes for gaming and if you don't mind the pixel shifting... no as a work monitor.
Price could also be 100.- less :D

I already know why power supplies are never pictured. Dear Samsung, have you suffered a total loss? The external power supply is as big as an aircraft carrier. You almost need a separate room in the gaming room for it. If you really want to do something good, build the power supply unit into the monitor. I hate external power supplies. (Power supply dimensions: 165x80x37mm). The charger from my e-scooter is probably smaller.
Therefore a fair star deduction.

The QD OLED impresses with brilliant colours, deep blacks and an extremely fast response time - ideal for gaming. However, the fringing (coloured edges on texts) is clearly annoying and after a few hours I got eye pain. The potential is huge, but the technology still needs some fine-tuning. Hopefully the next generation will be better!

I like to use dark mode a lot, but unfortunately this monitor is completely unsuitable for it. Reading text on this monitor gives me a headache in no time at all. The colours are gorgeous, pictures and videos look fabulous. But as this is a monitor and not a cinema screen, text must also be usable for me on such a monitor. At this absurd price, I think you can expect the monitor to be usable for both. The green and pink edges are most pronounced with text on a dark background. I have sent the monitor back.
