I have installed the SSD in an external housing Icy Box IB-1817M-C31 - NVMe M.2.
Speed is completely sufficient
Gets less warm than e.g. Samsung 980 and 990 Pro, which I also use in this way.
Pro
As soon as more than 2 bits per second are demanded from the SSD, the latency explodes immeasurably. Never seen an SSD with such catastrophic performance.
Pro
Contra
The cache on this SSD is small and as soon as it is full, e.g. when you are copying a lot of large files, the write speed falls down to just below 100 MB/s. That is slower than a mechanical hard drive! Thus, it is not a good choice for intensive work or as a primary drive. However, considering the price, it could be an option as a secondary drive for storage and backup.

I haven't got around to cloning my system yet because I'm currently struggling with Windows 11 update problems and have to solve them first and don't want to transfer a problem system.
Pro
I am very happy with the memory. As I only do Office and a bit of video editing, it's probably completely oversized for me. But my motto is better to have than to need. The price-performance ratio was unbeatable at the time of my purchase.
Pro
Note that the crucial ssd is in a TDB 5 case, whereas the WDs are on TDB 3...
