Questions about XGO3

The Xplora XGO3 Kids smartwatch does not have a video function. It does, however, have a 2 MP camera that allows children to take and share pictures.

It doesn't matter whether it's prepaid or a plan, I have a plan for Fr.13 a month, but prepaid is also possible, as long as you have credit to make calls.

The Xplora XGO3 Kids Smartwatch does not contain any gaming functions. It is specially designed for children and specifically avoids access to the internet and games to ensure safe and controlled use. However, the watch offers important functions such as calls, messages, GPS tracking, pedometer, stopwatch and an emergency call function.

Only one admin (in our case mum and dad) has access to the location. He has saved 8 contacts (max. 10 possible) and can call them. But only those who have downloaded the Xplora app and are also defined as an admin can write small texts and see the location. For example, grandparents only have the child's phone number and could call him when the battery is fully charged. (Attention, the watch must be charged daily or every 2 days. If you don't want that, you'll have to find something else). It's big, but we think it's great.

Does the prepaid have a data volume? Is it connected to the wifi at home?
Otherwise it is relatively quick to set up with the app as soon as the watch has an internet connection

Correct, Multi Device does not work to make calls, there is an error message for the caller.
Swisscom has a special plan for kids' watches (cheap, simple, good).

I ordered the physical SIM variant, I don't know if it works with an E-SIM.

We haven't tried it out, but the watch has IP68.

According to Google, it says;
The IP68 certification defines on the one hand that the device is dustproof and on the other hand that it is protected against permanent immersion in water up to a maximum depth of 1.5 metres for a maximum of 30 minutes.
