That has to do with demand and supply. Generally, if Digitec buys more units of a product, for example, they get better purchasing conditions and can sell the product cheaper than, for example, another colour variant of which they have bought fewer. In this case, however, black is more expensive because it may be more popular.
The partition is of type exFAT. The easiest way is to boot on a ubuntu livecd, use gparted to reformat the partition to hfs+ ;)

the t7 has a usb a 3.2 to usb 3.2 type c with it
the usb a 3.2 can also be connected to usb 3.0 or 2.0, but it is a bit longer.
