Is it worth putting this fan in a case in which a maximum of 160 mm high fans are installed? The current "be quiet! Pure Rock Slim 2" regularly reaches the 98-100 degree limit "permanently" when gaming ... Throteling can now be smoked in summer.

No, the NH-U12A does not fit because it's too high. But a NH-U9S will fit.

Will the cooler fit on an Asus Prime Z690-P D4 board? The RAM is very close to the CPU.

Very quiet, satisfied.
Requires a lot of space in the case, which makes changes somewhat complicated. Often the fans have to be removed, which is easy. Mounting on Asus Prime Z690 DDR5 possible. Probably no problem with DDR4, as DDR4 and DDR5 only differ by the key notch. No guarantee for the answer.

Does anyone know if the Noctua fits on the Gigabyte z 690 gaming X board? I am worried about the high cover of the board. I have checked the socket compatibility. This works...
