Beim Brennen und Lesen von CDs und DVDs ist der Pioneer angenehm leise. Eine CD beschreibt er in nur fünf Minuten, für eine DVD braucht er fast elf Minuten.

Trotz kurzer Leitung: Der ebenfalls bei Amazon gehandelte Amicool GT31 L errang den ersten Platz. In der Summer sind aber neun der zehn geprüften Brenner empfehlenswert, weil die Unterschiede größtenteils sehr gering sind. Nur vom Billigheimer Iamotus GSA-T50N sollten Kunden die Finger lassen.
