Product details
The lens consists of 10 elements in 8 groups, including 1 aspherical element. The aspherical lens suppresses spherical aberration and distortion.
The classic medium telephoto focal length of 42.5 mm, equivalent to 85 mm on a 35 mm camera, is ideal for portrait photography. The large aperture allows for precise control over the shallow depth of field. The 7 aperture blades create an almost circular opening, resulting in a beautiful, soft bokeh in the out-of-focus areas, especially at larger apertures.
A signal transmission rate of up to 240 frames per second ensures the fastest reactions with current high-speed AF cameras. At the same time, focusing for both photo and video is smooth and quiet. With its metal body and robust, durable metal bayonet, along with a lens hood, it harmonizes perfectly with all models in the LUMIX G series.
