It delivers consistently high contrast across the entire image field and high resolution throughout the zoom range. Two ED glass elements minimize unwanted chromatic aberrations. An aspherical lens maintains high optical performance while significantly reducing the overall size of the lens. Multi-coated lenses prevent unwanted reflections or ghosting.

The internal focusing driven by a stepping motor ensures fast and precise focusing for both photos and videos in conjunction with the contrast AF system of the LUMIX G models. The O.I.S. image stabilizer effectively protects against blurry images, even at high magnification in telephoto and close-up ranges.

Seven aperture blades create a nearly circular opening, resulting in particularly beautiful, soft bokeh in the out-of-focus areas, especially at larger apertures. A robust metal bayonet ensures a precise and secure connection to all Micro Four Thirds cameras.
