Die Tough-Reihe von Olympus ist dafür bekannt, das man es hier mit Kameras zu tun hat, welche vor allem beim Outdoor-Einsatz einen guten Eindruck machen können. Dies gilt hier auch für das Modell Tough TG-850, es ist deutlich robuster und widerstandsfähiger als eine klassische Digitalkamera...
In erster Linie ist die Tough TG-850 als eine Outdoor-Kamera zu bewerten, hier darf es nicht stören wenn die Qualität nicht allzu hoch ist. So muss man sich bei der Aufnahme von Fotos mit durchschnittlicher Qualität abfinden, Videos gelingen sogar nur weniger zufriedenstellend.
Olympus hat bei der Tough TG-850 einen ordentlichen Job gemacht und eine robuste Outdoorkamera geschaffen. Sie kann durch ihr robustes Gehäuse auch unter Wasser eingesetzt werden, hier bis zu 10 Metern. Die Fotoqualität ist dabei absolut zu gebrauchen, Videos nimmt die Kamera jedoch in schwacher Qualität auf.
