The AF-S NIKKOR 85mm f/1.8G from Nikon is a very popular focal length for portraits and is a short telephoto prim with a bright f/1.8 maximum aperture. This design finds the balance between a lightweight, compact form factor and is fast enough to effectively control depth of field and work in low light conditions. Individual lens elements feature Super Integrated Coating, which controls glare and ghosting to achieve greater contrast and color fidelity in bright and backlit conditions. Der Autofokus ist beim Nikon AF-S Nikkor 1,8 / 85 mm G nicht perfekt, auf einem guten Niveau liegt dieser dennoch. Auch darüber hinaus leistet sich das Festbrennweiten-Objektiv keine großen Schwächen, wobei vor allem die sehr gute Ausstattung und die hohe Objektivgüte positiv aufgefallen ist.
