LGs Flaggschiff aus 2014 sticht noch immer die meisten Konkurrenten auf diesen vier Seiten aus. Einzig das Sony Xperia Z2 kann da gleichziehen. Der Bildschirm protzt mit einer knackscharfen WQHD-Auflösung von 2.560 x 1.440 ? hier bieten die meisten Hersteller nur Full HD. Android 6.0 wird ebenfalls unterstützt. Die Kamera ist zwar noch immer gut, gehört aber nicht mehr zur Spitzenklasse.

Das aktuelle Flaggschiff von LG (getestet unter Android 4.4.2) ist eines der ersten Smartphones mit Quad HD-Display (= das Vierfache von HD). Damit hängt das G3 sein Vorgängermodell G2 hinsichtlich der Pixeldichte deutlich ab (538 gegenüber 424 Pixel pro Zoll/ppi). Allerdings ist Schärfe allein nicht alles...
Große Schwächen findet man beim LG G3 nicht. Das Smartphone mit 5,5 Zoll großem, hochauflösenden Display liefert eine sehr gute Multimedialeistung, ebenso überzeugt das Phablet im Bereich Telefon und Akku mit überdurchschnittlich guten Leistungen. Aber auch das Thema Internet deckt dieses Modell erstklassig ab.
Das LG G3 ist kein perfektes Smartphone, ein sehr starkes insgesamt auf jedoch Fall. Es zeigt sich bei Telefonie sehr stark, die Akkulaufzeit ist sehr gut, beim Surfen ist es eine prima Alternative und auch den Bereich Multimedia deckt es sehr gut ab. Auch bei der Verarbeitung zeigt das Smartphone eine sehr starke Leistung.
