The Huawei P9 is equipped with a unique dual camera from Leica. Both optics shoot with 12 megapixels, 2.2 aperture and 27-millimetre focal length. One sensor takes pictures normally, the other only in black and white, but it can capture more light. For a colour photo, the image data from both sensors are calculated together, which enables realistic colours and high light sensitivity.

- Knuckle Sense
- Depth of field effect not yet fully developed
The design and workmanship of the Huawei P9 are top-notch. Huawei deserves great praise for the camera technology with focus effect and depth of field. The software, however, still has some room for improvement. For 569 euros, you also get fast hardware and an Android user interface with many practical functions...
The Huawei P9 is an Android smartphone with a very good, large, very high-resolution display. The device is very good for surfing and emails. The network sensitivity is only moderate. Special feature: Huawei promises a 'new era of smartphone photography' for the P9. In cooperation with Leica, the supplier has built a camera with two lenses and two image sensors into the smartphone...
- Very valuable workmanship
- Fingerprint sensor
- Innovative camera
- Fast processor
- relatively favourable
- No optical image stabiliser

The Huawei P9 can live up to the claim of an all-round carefree package for ambitious users - with one small flaw: the camera, actually one of the highlights of the device. Although it manages excellent contrasts and colours in the best case, it weakens when it comes to image sharpness...
At the end of the test, the Huawei P9 has many positive features, but there are also a few points that need to be criticised. The design, stability and feel of the aluminium unibody cannot be criticised. The processor is currently one of the most powerful, LTE, NFC and a fingerprint sensor are all built into the phone...
