These printers use dynamic security measures to block print cartridges with a non-HP chip or non-HP electronic circuit. Regular firmware updates maintain the effectiveness of these measures and block cartridges that previously worked. Reused HP chips and HP electronic circuits enable the use of reused, remanufactured and refilled print cartridges.
