The SR225e shares the same characteristics as the SR125e model but features a 50% increased airflow achieved through an improved metal grille on the sound baffles. This results in further reduction of sound coloration. Additionally, the driver chassis are more closely matched (only 0.05 dB deviation), which enhances spatial imaging. The increased spaciousness and realistic sound character will also appeal to discerning listeners.
The Grado SR225e is equipped with larger ear pads than the SR125e, allowing them to encompass the ear rather than resting on it. This makes the SR225e exceptionally comfortable to wear even during long listening sessions.
