Die derzeit schnellste externe Festplatte. Im Gehäuse stecken zwei SSD-Festplatten, die sich gegenseitig puffern und damit beschleunigen. Anschluss per USB 3.1 Ver 2, derzeit schnellstmögliche USB-Verbindung.
Bei der Hitzeentwicklung muss Hersteller Freecom noch nachbessern, an der Geschwindigkeit gibt`s dagegen nichts zu meckern: Die mSSD Maxx erwies sich im Test als die derzeit schnellste externe SSD.

Laut Freecom befindet sich im Gehäuse der mSSD MAXX eine PCIe-SSD ? CrystalDiskMark findet aber eine M.2-SATA-SSD von Toshiba. Beim Schreiben wird die SSD recht warm; dabei hält sie aber dauerhaft die Geschwindigkeit von knapp 700 MByte/s. Auf der SSD befindet sich ein kleines Software-Paket; unter anderem der FHD-Formatter, der die SSD ohne Datenverlust von FAT32 auf NTFS umformatieren soll...
