The FiiO FH5 is a hybrid in-ear earphone featuring four drivers. Each handset is equipped with three balanced armature drivers from Knowles and a dynamic driver, all housed in an aluminum casing. This combination produces frequencies ranging from 15 to 40,000 Hz with a low impedance of 19 Ohm, allowing the FH5 to be easily operated with nearly all players and smartphones. The design with four drivers ensures excellent timing, transparency, accuracy, and enjoyment. Additionally, each FiiO FH5 handset has its own sound tube for each frequency range (bass, midrange, treble), which directs the generated sound to the handset, minimizing mutual interference and optimizing each frequency range. The bass is full-bodied and deep, while the midrange and treble are clear and transparent.

The high-quality 1.2-meter long copper and silver earphone cable features a robust TPU sheath and MMCX connectors, allowing for replacement with a longer, shorter cable, or one with a different plug, remote control, or Bluetooth if desired. The cable is routed over the ear, ensuring a secure fit in the auricle without the weight pulling on the listeners. Four different plug types are included. The earplugs significantly influence the sound of the earphones, and FiiO has included ear plugs with various sound signatures: three pairs oriented towards "bass," three pairs focused on "vocals," and two pairs of "balanced" ear plugs for a neutral sound. It also comes with three pairs of memory foam earplugs that adapt perfectly to the ear canal for a snug and comfortable fit. Two cases are included for safe transport: a compact fabric bag with a zipper and a robust waterproof hard shell case.
