Each of the eight PoE+ ports delivers up to 30 watts with a maximum total PoE power of 140 watts. No configuration is required, and installation is quick and easy. Thanks to the support for automatic MDI/MDI-X on all ports, no crossover cables are needed when connecting another switch. The automatic adjustment at each port detects the connection speed of network devices (10, 100, or 1000 Mbps) and ensures compatibility and optimal performance. The switch is fanless, allowing it to operate silently in any environment. With lossless filtering and store-and-forward transmission, the DGS-1008MP maximizes network performance while minimizing the forwarding of faulty network packets. DGS-1008MP switches incorporate D-Link Green 3.0 technology as well as IEEE802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) to reduce operating costs without compromising performance or functionality. Using D-Link Green technology, the switches continuously monitor the connection status and network usage of each port. The switches also automatically detect cable length and can reduce transmission power for shorter cables. By utilizing EEE-capable devices with the DGS-1008MP, businesses can significantly lower power consumption, as unused ports are automatically put into a sleep mode.
