Die Canon Powershot SX170 IS macht einen guten Job bei der Aufnahme von Fotos, bei Videos stellt sie eine nur wenig zufriedenstellende Alternative dar. Die Bedienung ist akzeptabel und auch mit dem durchschnittlichen Monitor und Blitz kann man sich anfreunden.
Die Canon PowerShot SX170 IS nimmt Fotos mit 15,9 Megapixeln und einem 16-fachen optischen Zoom auf. Die Bildqualität ist dabei jedoch nur mittelmäßig, ebenso wie auch die Geschwindigkeit. In Anbetracht des Preises geht dabei auch die Ausstattung in Ordnung, Highlights bietet die Kamera jedoch nicht.
