Product details
The AT-LPW50PB is a fully manual, belt-driven turntable designed for optimal high-fidelity audio playback of vinyl. It features a resonance-dampening 30 mm thick MDF base with a high-gloss piano black finish to minimize low-frequency acoustic feedback, and a sensor-monitored motor that ensures precise platter speeds of 33-1/3 and 45 RPM. The turntable comes with a straight, matte carbon fiber tonearm with adjustable tracking force and an AT-HS4 universal 1/2" headshell equipped with a black AT-VM95E dual moving magnet phono cartridge.
Audio-Technica has been a leader in the development of phono cartridges for over 50 years, and this expertise is evident in the versatile, high-performance AT-VM95E cartridge, which comes with an elliptical 0.3 x 0.7 mm stylus but is also compatible with any replacement stylus from the VM95 series, offering a wide range of options for every budget and application. The AT-LPW50PB is equipped with a built-in selectable phono preamp and a detachable dual RCA output cable, allowing for direct connection to components with or without a dedicated phono input.

Restrained sound. The record player sometimes sounds slightly thin, the basses are somewhat restrained. It can be operated manually and has a belt drive. Relatively versatile and well made. Reacts sensitively to impact sound.

The Audio Technica AT-LPW50PB is an elegant and sonically highly ambitious turntable with which to enjoy long-lasting analogue pleasures.
