Audio-Technica AT-LPW50PB
ManualProduct details
The AT-LPW50PB is a fully manual, belt-driven turntable designed for optimum high-fidelity audio reproduction of vinyl. It features a low-resonance, 30mm thick MDF (medium density fibreboard) plinth with a high-gloss piano black finish to dampen low-frequency acoustic feedback, and a sensor-monitored motor that ensures precise platter speeds of 33-1/3 and 45rpm. The turntable comes with a straight matte carbon fiber tonearm with adjustable tracking force and an AT-HS4 Universal 1/2" headshell with a black AT-VM95E Dual Moving Magnet phono cartridge.
Audio-Technica has been a leader in phono cartridge design for more than 50 years, and this expertise is evident in the versatile, high-performance AT-VM95E cartridge, which comes with a 0.3 x 0.7mm elliptical needle, but is also compatible with any replacement VM95 series needle, providing a wide range of options for any budget and application. The AT-LPW50PB is equipped with a built-in selectable phono preamp and a detachable double RCA output cable to allow direct connection to components with or without a dedicated phono input.

Restrained sound. The record player sometimes sounds slightly thin, the basses are somewhat restrained. It can be operated manually and has a belt drive. Relatively versatile and well made. Reacts sensitively to impact sound.

The Audio Technica AT-LPW50PB is an elegant and sonically highly ambitious turntable with which to enjoy long-lasting analogue pleasures.
