Pixel 8 Pro leaks: first photos, first details and temperature measurement
Google's new smartphone may not be released until October, but the first leaked photos, videos and details about the Pixel 8 Pro's features are already available.
The first photos of a test device of the Pixel 8 Pro confirm small changes to the design. All three camera lenses end up in one element and the display is flatter than its predecessor.

On Reddit, someone posted two photos showing a test device of the Pixel 8 Pro. As a result, there are many stickers on the back of the smartphone. Nevertheless, a pattern can be recognised on the casing. However, this is not necessarily the final design. The images have since been deleted from Reddit.

Google retains the bar for the cameras on the back. The three lenses are once again located in a recess on the Pixel 8 Pro. On the Pixel 7 Pro, they are split into two.
The codenames can also be seen. "Husky" is the name for the Pixel 8 Pro and "Zuma" for the Tensor G3 processor. The smartphone in the photo has 12 gigabytes of RAM and 128 gigabytes of internal memory. This means that there are probably no changes compared to the Pixel 7 Pro. It has 12 gigabytes of RAM and 128 or 256 gigabytes of storage space.
The photos also show a dot under the flash. This is said to be a temperature sensor. It should be able to measure body temperature, for example. However, a demo video of the function that was made public in advance has already disappeared from YouTube.
Product images and rumours about the cameras
Back in March, OnLeaks and the Indian price comparison site Smartprix published product images of the Pixel 8 Pro.

In the meantime, rumours were also circulating about improvements to the camera. The 50-megapixel main camera is said to be able to capture around 50 per cent more light than its predecessor. The Samsung Isocell GN2 is supposed to ensure this. The resolution of the ultra-wide-angle camera is to be increased to 64 megapixels with the Sony IMX787.
The battery remains almost unchanged with a capacity of 5000 mAh, but charges slightly faster than its predecessors. Instead of 23 watts, the Pixel 8 Pro can accept 27 watts.
The final launch of the Pixel 8 Pro and Pixel 8 is expected to take place in October 2023. At least if Google does not make any changes to the usual processes.
