Skil
In the 50's the company changed its name again and became Skil Corporation; this was associated with a first expansion beyond the borders of its home country. Skilsaw remained the brand name for the company's products. International sales began in Canada, followed a few years later by Europe. At that time Skil was already represented on the consumer market, and as early as 1959 the company offered a comprehensive and successful range of power tools. In 1961 the European Skil factory was built in Breda, Holland. This was soon followed by the electric motor factory in Eindhoven. From the 1970s, Skil began building a network of factories, service centres and sales offices around the globe. After the takeover by Bosch in 1996, Skil's growth increased even further. Skil tools are products of the 21st century in the truest sense of the word. The company owes its growth to its innovative spirit and its goal of producing high-quality power tools. We will also take these strengths with us into the new millennium.
