Ricoter

The pioneer for Swiss soils for more than 35 years. With its production sites in Frauenfeld and Aarberg, RICOTER relies on Switzerland as a production location. Since 2014, the repurchase soils are completely peat-free.
Every day in Switzerland, high-quality by-products are produced in agriculture, forestry, horticulture and the food industry. RICOTER recycles and refines these natural products and produces high-quality soils from them in the region. This means that long transports can be dispensed with. In addition, more and more peat remains where it belongs: in the raised bogs, which are worth protecting. RICOTER replaces peat wherever possible.

As a substitute, for example, wood fiber from sawmill-fresh wood chips is added. This keeps the soil loose and permeable to air. Other raw materials for soil production include land soil from sugar beet washing in Swiss sugar factories, bark from sawmills and garden compost. These components, together with organic and mineral nutrients, are used in our mixing plants to create soil products that meet every need for gardening enthusiasts and professional gardeners.
