Canon Inc. is a Japanese company based in Tokyo. Since the company was founded in 1937, Canon has become one of the world's most renowned and largest manufacturers of IT and consumer electronics.

Canon is also a leader in the field of digital photography in particular. Introduced in 1987, the EOS interchangeable lens camera system offers photographers and filmmakers virtually unlimited possibilities to realise their creative ideas. The new EOS R system introduced in 2018 is a mirrorless camera system with a full-frame sensor. It features the innovative RF mount, which allows the use of the new, extremely powerful RF lenses.
